Iraqi resistance chief hails Ayatollah Khamenei as symbol of faith against US hegemony

The secretary-general of Iraq’s Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada resistance group has described Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the embodiment of faith in the face of global pressure, framing the confrontation with the United States as a struggle between principled leadership and hegemonic ambition.

Hawzah News Agency- Abu Alaa al-Walaei, speaking amid ongoing regional political and security developments, reaffirmed his group’s full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its leadership, emphasizing that the bonds between Iran and resistance movements are both ideological and strategic.

Statements circulated by media outlets close to the resistance axis quoted al-Walaei as saying that divine support for the Islamic Republic is “certain and enduring,” adding that historical experience shows victory consistently aligns with principled resistance movements.

He characterized current regional developments as part of a broader historical pattern, highlighting steadfastness, sacrifice, and adherence to religious and moral principles as decisive factors in shaping outcomes.

Addressing Ayatollah Khamenei directly, al-Walaei underscored Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada’s complete alignment with the Leader, describing it as a clear demonstration of the resistance front’s practical commitment to religious and political authority.

The Iraqi resistance leader also outlined what he described as the key criteria of legitimate leadership from the perspective of his movement, citing faith, courage, honesty, sincerity, and jurisprudential knowledge as foundational pillars.

Al-Walaei strongly criticized US policies in the region, accusing Washington of repeated treaty violations, occupations, and actions that have fueled instability and suffering across West Asia.

He concluded by framing the confrontation between Iran-aligned resistance forces and the United States as a broader struggle between principled leadership and global arrogance, asserting that Ayatollah Khamenei represents steadfast faith, while US President Donald Trump embodies hegemonic aggression.
